If an individual thinking about purchasing a shed believes one day they may want their shed to be moved or replaced should chose wood for their shed foundation. As well as being easily portable wood foundations are easy to install. Skids measuring out to 4×4 or 6×6, depending on the size one wishes their shed to be, should be nailed together. These skids keep water from soaking through the bottom of the wood foundation. If water managed to seep into the wood foundation it could rot and be rendered useless. All wood that is used for shed foundations should be pressure treated lumber. This type of lumber is best resistant to water that may come in contact with the shed.
