Dental assistant certification can be obtained from the Dental Assisting National Board [DANB and is recognized in more than 30 states across the US. You will require this certification prior to applying for any dental assistant’s jobs. A certificate acts as an acknowledgment of your qualifications and will enhance your chances of being employed. You will also need to accumulate education credits in order to receive annual re-certification. As always, check the laws in the state where you plan to practice as a dental assistant and act in accordance with them.
