After a bit of research about church computer software you find the possible answer to your problem and realize that you have two different options available.

You can take the original projector back to the store and exchange it for a different model or you can purchase special projector software that will make the machine compatible with your laptop. The second is probably the easier of the two, but you now also realize that the projector’s software must be compatible with several different computers.

Back to the drawing board, you begin checking the manuals of all of the different laptops that will be used in conjunction with the projector to make sure that the software will work with all of them. This can definitely be tricky as each machine has its own special ‘quirks’ that make it unique and a potential problem when used with the projector.

Probably the best thing to do is to identify a few special laptop computers in the office that can easily receive the new software and work with the projector.
