Right now everyone laughs at certain clips that the news media did. You know those clips that are so embarrassing that its freaking funny. If SOPA passes it will be illegal to upload that or to link to it.

You won’t be able to use avatars without asking for permission. Which usually means that you have to pay a fee to use it for a month or more. So it will become like an annual fee.

Oh that would only be the beginning.

SOPA is designed to fight online trafficking of copyrighted information and intellectual property.

What’s wrong with that?

We should protect copyrights and intellectual property. Right?

Ariana asked:

What do they intend to do? What’s being misinterpreted?

In the past day, there’s been an explosion of SOPA-related questions in pretty much every category I answer. A lot of people seem to think SOPA intends to shut down websites like Facebook, Twitter, etc. which isn’t true. What’s causing the disconnect and confusion?

Benjamin

asked:

If the SOPA bill ever comes into power and is now a new law what sort of things will happen afterward? How will people react to almost every site on the internet being blocked? How long do you think that this bill might last?

For me I give it a month or a year at most for it to last then it would be gone. What about you?

I’ve seen in the news that Congress is trying to pass anti-piracy legislation bills called PIPA and SOPA and a couple websites like wikipedia and google are opposing it by having blackouts. Is it Democrats or Republicans trying to get this through? Or half and half?
