I have a friend who just started in the position as a sales attendant at a recruitment company. She is finding the work to be challenging. Despite undergoing training she has a fear of cold calling. My research indicates that this condition is quite common and accounts for the high attrition rate in the industry. I have suggested she purchase a book about it. There are many sales based books which can provide helpful advice for dealing with the emotional aspects of cold calling. It takes practice to become good at this line of work.
