I began my own business over twelve years ago without any real-life business training or experience. Some would say it was foolish, but I thought otherwise.
My confidence came from knowing the market I was selling to, what their primary needs were, and most importantly, what their secondary needs were. First and foremost was price, but highly linked to it was customer service.
All my customer service training was done on the job by asking plenty of questions and figuring out ways to implement the answers in my business model. The results were great. I know all my customers, and most of their customers, by name. It’s great fun.
